Yesterday we highlighted one of colleges greatest players of all time. Now today for day 14, I said we’d be going with a quarterback from BYU but I’m calling an audible to a safety from Notre Dame.
Kyle Hamilton was born in Athens, Greece but was raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended the Marist School in Brookhaven, Georgia where he played safety and wide out. Hamilton played in the 2019 All American Bowl.
He committed to Notre Dame and has balled out ever since. As a true freshman, Hamilton backed up Alohi Gilman and Jalen Elliot who are both in the NFL now. He played in a total of thirteen games and started one.
In his freshman season, Hamilton recorded forty one tackles, four picks, and one interception which made him a starter for his sophomore season.
For 2020, Hamilton recorded sixty three tackles, six pass breakups, and a pick. He was named First Team All ACC, FWAA All American, and was a Bednarik Award finalist. Hamilton is dominant and is a projected first rounder next year.
Tomorrow for day 13, I’ll be taking a look at a quarterback that balled out at Pittsburgh in college.
