15 Days Until The College Football Season Kicks Off
It's almost the most wonderful time of the year.
Yesterday for day 16, I covered the Minnesota Vikings newest safety who flew around the field for the Georgia Bulldogs National Title team. Now today for day 15, I’ll be highlighting the Texans starting quarterback that played at Stanford.
Davis Mills was a 4 star quarterback recruit out of Greater Atlanta Christian High School in Norcross, Georgia. Mills picked up offers from Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and Wake Forest, but decided to move across the country and commit to Stanford.
As a freshman in 2017, Mills redshirted. The following season in 2018, he saw time in one game, but recorded no passing stats. In 2019 as a sophomore, Mills saw more play time in 8 games throwing for 1,960 yards and 11 touchdowns while also catching 1 touchdown.
In Mills’s final season in 2020 with Stanford, he only played in 5 games passing for 1,508 yards and 7 scores. He would go onto be selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.
