2022 NFL Mock Draft; Picks 29-30
The Super Bowl is set, here is who I think the two eliminated teams will pick.
Championship weekend has come and gone and two more teams were bounced and are now preparing to draft.
29. Miami Dolphins via San Francisco 49ers: Penn State Wide Receiver Jahan Dotson
The Dolphins initially dealt their first round selection, but were able to acquire the 49ers first round pick. They have many needs on the offensive side of the ball at offensive line, running back, and receiver, but here you have to go best available and Jahan Dotson is the best player at the twenty nine.
At 5’11, 185 pounds, Dotson plays a lot like Tyler Lockett as he is a great route runner with a broad catch radius. He also is good against press coverage which he’ll face in AFC East matchups against Tre’Davious White, Levi Wallace, and J.C. Jackson.
Dotson would be a great fit in Miami as another weapon for Tua alongside Mike Gesicki and Jaylen Waddle.
30. Kansas City Chiefs: Michigan Safety Daxton Hill
Tyrann Mathieu is slated to become a free agent this offseason and after giving Mahomes, Jones, Kelce, and Hill big extensions, it will be very difficult to bring him back. Addressing the safety position will be huge because this years draft isn’t super deep at safety.
The benefit of Kansas City drafting Daxton Hill is that he is tremendously versatile. He is able to drop down in the slot, play corner on a number one receiver, and play high safety. He is very good in zone coverage and comes down to make wrap tackles.
A drawback of Hill is that he is super aggressive and makes too many gamble plays. He’ll be a good fit in the Chiefs system, but it’ll be difficult to replace the Honey Badger.
