Honestly, today I’m pretty fired up to highlight this player. Day 75 means we’re a quarter of the way done and to celebrate that landmark, we’re taking a close look at former Notre Dame guard, Aaron Taylor.
Taylor was a phenomenal high school football player coming out of De La Salle High School in Concord, California where he was named a USA Today High School All American. The offers flowed in to Taylor and he selected South Bend, Indiana as his home.
He played on the Notre Dame football team from 1990 to 1993 and collected a large number of accolades. In 1992 and 1993, Taylor was named a Consensus All American and in 1993 was also named the Jim Parker Award winner and the Lombardi Award winner.
Taylor really started the wave of dominant Irish offensive linemen and I think turned them into OLINE U. He’s a trailblazer for Irish maulers in the trenches to come like Quenton Nelson and Ronnie Stanley.
Tomorrow for day 74 we have an offensive tackle that played college ball in the SEC around a decade ago.
