Yesterday for day 78 I covered a colossal offensive tackle that was just drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. Now today for day 77, I’ll be highlighting another offensive lineman that was drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Zion Johnson was an unranked recruit coming out of Riverdale Baptist High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He accepted a scholarship from Davidson and started immediately. In his first two seasons with the Wildcats, Johnson played in 22 games, starting 19 of them. In 2018 he was named First Team All PFF.
After his sophomore year, he transferred to Boston College and really took off. In his first season with the Eagles, Johnson started 7 games and was named Second Team All ACC.
In his final two seasons, Johnson absolutely dominated. He was named All ACC Third Team in 2020, All ACC First Team in 2021, and First Team All American in 2021. He would go onto be selected 17th overall by the Chargers in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Tomorrow for day 76, I’ll be highlighting yet another offensive lineman that got selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.
