Yesterday for day 82, I highlighted an Alabama tight end that currently plays for my Minnesota Vikings. Now for day 81, I will be covering another tight end that came out of a legendary ball sack.
Thaddeus Moss, the son of NFL legend Randy Moss, earned a 4 star rating out of Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. The star pass catcher committed to North Carolina State over Texas A&M, Alabama, UCLA, and Michigan.
As a true freshman, he saw time with the Wolfpack catching 6 passes for 49 yards and 1 touchdown. He announced that he’d transferring to LSU after his freshman season, but due to NCAA rules needed to sit out a season. He then missed out on the 2018 season due to a foot injury, but he was able to take a medical redshirt.
In his redshirt junior season in 2019, Moss became an important target for Joe Burrow. His 47 grabs for 570 yards and 4 touchdowns helped lead LSU to an undefeated National Championship season. Moss would forgo his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He would go undrafted and hasn’t yet played in an NFL game.
Tomorrow to round out the 80’s we’ll look at a Boston College alum that plays for the Dolphins.
