Yesterday for day 89 I covered a pass catcher from Connecticut that has been balling out at Iowa. Today for day 88 I’m sticking in the BIG Ten with a tight end that was drafted by the Jets.
Jeremy Ruckert was the number one tight end in the class of 2018 out of Lindenhurst High School in Lindenhurst, New York. He held offers from a vast majority of powerhouse programs including Alabama, Notre Dame, and Georgia; he eventually committed to Ohio State.
As a true freshman, Ruckert saw minimal time as he made 1 grab for 13 yards. The following season in 2019, he caught 14 passes for 142 yards and 4 touchdowns. 2020 was his best season scoring wise for the Buckeyes as he caught 13 passes for 151 yards and 5 touchdowns.
In his final season in college, Ruckert upped his productivity catching 26 passes for 309 yards and 3 touchdowns. The New York native was drafted in the third round of this past draft by the New York Jets. Tomorrow for day 87, I stick with tight ends and one that I love watching on Saturdays.
