Yesterday for day 92 I highlighted a current Jets pass rusher that dominated at Alabama. Now for day 91 I’ll be going over a former Notre Dame pass rusher that currently plays for Atlanta.
Adetokunbo Ogundeji was a 3 star recruit coming out of Walled Lake Central High School and held offers from Pitt, Oregon, and Cal and originally committed to Western Michigan. he eventually committed to play at Notre Dame for coach Brian Kelly.
Ogundeji spent his freshman season on the scout team and then as a sophomore in 2018 he saw limited action. In a handful of games as a sophomore he made 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and forced 2 fumbles.
The Michigan native earned a bigger role on the defense in 2019 as he made 34 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and forced 3 fumbles. As a pass rusher, 2020 was Ogundejis most productive season; he tallied 7 sacks to go with 1 forced fumble, and 23 tackles.
Ogundeji was drafted in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft by Atlanta and in his rookie season made 33 tackles and 1 sack. Tomorrow for day 90, I’ll be highlighting a defensive tackle from the Pac 10.
