Today only means that we are one day closer to college football and we get to highlight another player. For number 96, we have a super forgotten college football star but a legendary WWE wrestler.
Leati Joseph Anoa'i wore 96 for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets before he turned into WWE Champion, Roman Reigns.
As a member of the Yellow Jackets, Reigns was no scrub. In his junior and senior year in Atlanta he racked up 65 tackles, 14.5 for loss, and 6.5 sacks. He was also named captain in his senior year while making ACC First Team defense.
Pro football never really worked out for Reigns after he spent time with the Vikings and Jaguars in the offseason and a year with the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL. Pro wrestling has seemed to go just a little bit better than football but, he is a true forgotten college football star.
We move to only 95 days tomorrow and we get to look at more guys who got after the quarterback and stuffed the run.
