Bauer is Headed to the Dodgers
The NL Cy Young winner has picked his home for the next few seasons.
Wow, just wow. The Dodgers rotation is a scary sight to see if you’re an opposing team and it almost feels like they can be a lock to make it to the World Series out of the National League. A pitching platoon of Clayton Kershaw, David Price, Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, and now Bauer is a scary sight to see because, between the 5, they have won 5 Cy Young’s and have been to 15 All Star Games.
Bauer and the Dodgers agreed to a three year, 102 million dollar deal that give Bauer the option to opt out after year 1 and year 2. The Bauer-outage is set to make 40 million dollars in 2021 and 45 million in 2022.
The specifics of the offer that Bauer received from the Mets is uncertain but, it is rumored that it was more than what the Dodgers offered Bauer but, I think he wanted to play for a team that had a higher chance of contention to win a World Series.
Next season will be so exciting to watch the Dodgers rotation work against opposing batters
