Brady Turns Tampa Bay to Champa Bay
The Goat leads the Buccaneers to their second Super Bowl win in franchise history.
At 43 years of age, Tom Brady is showing no signs of slowing down and tonight, he solidified himself as not only the greatest NFL player of all time but, possibly the greatest athlete to walk the Earth.
The Buccaneers were triumphant tonight, winning 31-9 over Mahomes and the Chiefs and the Super Bowl MVP award went to none other than TB12. A lot of recognition should goto offensive coordinator, Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles. They put together a phenomenal game plan to counteract the Chiefs high powered offense and put up 31 points vs a solid Kansas City defense.
If it weren’t for dogs like Shaq Barrett, JPP, Ndamukong Suh, and Vita Vea, the Buccaneers do not win this game. These four got after the quarterback like they had fire crackers in their behinds. For the rest of the defense, Devin White and Lavonte David played with elite speed and made life difficult for Travis Kelce and Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
Even the Bucs defensive backs got in on the fun. The rookie, Antoine Winfield Jr. recorded an interception and then added a huge pass break up on Tyreek Hill. He then flashed Hill with his signature peace sign.
This game felt like the Patriots of old seeing Brady hook up with Gronk for not one but, two touchdowns early in the game. I loved seeing Gronk play at this level and have his best game of this past season.
On the other sideline, the Chiefs got shellacked. Their offense heading into the game was one of the best we’ve ever seen but, tonight, I’m not even sure they showed up. Chiefs fans complained all day that Mahomes should have won the MVP over Aaron Rodgers but, Rodgers scored more than 9 points against the Bucs last week.
The real debate that rises is will Brady ride away in the sunset and call it a career or does he shoot for number 8? The majority of the Buccaneers young roster is returning next season, including his offensive line so, why would he ever want to step away? Go for number 8 Tom.
