Bucs Lacrosse Tops Conference Foe Southern Maine

MMA bumps record to 3-6 following win vs Southern Maine.

Bucs Lacrosse Tops Conference Foe Southern Maine

The Buccaneers kick off the month of April the right way with a slaughtering of conference opponent, the Southern Maine Huskies. MMA traveled north to Portland, ME and left victorious with an 19-8 win.

On offense, the Buccaneers were led by junior Mitch Maida with 4 goals and senior Spencer Jones with 5 goals. Other goals came from Jack Iversen with 2, Nick Lamattina had 3, and Braeden Kosiewicz, Peter Raei, Gage Coolahan, Dale Donavan, and Doug Walker all had 1.

Jones was the points leader as he tallied 7 with 5 goals and 2 assists. In net for the Buccaneers, Sean Lally and Viktor Wright both allowed 4 goals a piece. Lally recorded 5 saves on 9 shots while Wright made 3 saves on 7 shots.

It was an all around team effort from the Buccaneers as they move to 3-6 and start the month out 1-0. Their next contest comes on Saturday, 4/9 against UMass Boston at 7:00 pm at home.
