Could The New York Giants Land Deshaun Watson?
ESPN analyst, Dan Orlovsky proposed a possible trade to send Watson to the Big Apple.
Uconn alumni, quarterback for the 0-16 Lions, and ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky weighed in on the Deshaun Watson trade and brought up a potential trade package that would bring him to the concrete jungle where dreams are made of. He suggested that Dave Gettleman should get on the phone with Houston and offer Daniel Jones, three first round picks, and Saquon Barkley.
I don’t mind 2/3 of this offer, the aspect I would hate as a Giants fan is getting rid of Saquon Barkley. Barkley is a generational talent and one hell of an athlete that would be a tough to let go of. A counter offer to this could be Daniel Jones, three first round selections, linebacker Blake Martinez, and center Spencer Pulley.
This trade would free up a lot of cap space by getting rid of Martinez’s contract and Pulley, who is the backup center, doesn’t do too much for the Giants. If the Giants could pull off this trade to land Watson, they would blow through the dismal NFC East with a possible 10-6, 11-5 record.
