I just wanted to take a quick moment tonight to use the blog to wish my mom a happy fiftieth birthday. I wish I could be back in Enfield celebrating it with you and dad, but I’m here in my dorm room thinking about you guys.
I realize that the past few years have been tough for you with Yaya and Pops passing away in 2019 and Nana this past year, but I just wanted you to know that you’ve been extremely strong throughout all of this and have been an absolute rock.
Whenever I’m having a bad day and need someone to talk to, I know I can come to you. Along with that and making great cake batter cookies, you know how to cheer me up.
I always know that you and dad will be at my sporting events and support anything I do, like this blog and the podcast. You both are the greatest support group I could ask for.
One moment I’ll always remember is the day that you took me to mini golf in Agawam, at the now shut down course. We were only a few holes in and you slipped and fell. I thought it was kind of funny, I wont lie. While we may have ended our round of mini golf early, you did get me ice cream. That was cool.
I love you mom, happy birthday.
