Happy Eight Year Anniversary To Mac Millers Album Faces
It's been eight years since Mac dropped faces.
It’s been eight years since Mac Miller dropped his mixtape Faces that helped elevate his career even more. While he did have Blue Slide Park and Watching Movies With the Sound Off, Faces catapulted him into greater projects like GO:OD AM and Swimming.
The 25 song mixtape includes fabulous features from Rick Ross, Vince Staples, and Schoolboy Q. When it comes to production, this album has some of the best in the 2010’s. Millers alter ego Larry Fisherman spearheaded the production work with help from Thudercat, Berg, and DrewByrd.
Faces charted fairly well in the United States as it reached number three on U.S. Billboard 200 and U.S. Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. The top spot that Faces reached was number two on the UK Top R&B Albums.
While this isn’t my all time favorite Mac Miller project (GO:OD AM is) I understand how important this mixtape is to his career. Happy eighth birthday to Faces.
