I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and were just about at the half way point.
60. Lies Song by Spose, Wax, and Shane Reis
Spose performed this live at PDANK XMAS 7 and it was great. This is my second or third favorite song off the Why Am I So Happy? album and it’s just Spose telling blatant lies the whole time which is pretty comical.
“Betty White is not old, ice is not cold, and I would never lie, lie, lie”.
59. Living Alive by Spose
I shouldn’t say I’m surprised that this song is on the top hundred, but I’m definitely shocked with how high it is. Living Alive is a song about the struggles people go through, but that if you’re Living Alive, you are winning and that suicide isn’t the right option for people to take.
58. ‘99 Daydream by JR Specs
“A daydream that began in 1999, hold up”. Probably my second favorite song off of JR’s ‘99 Daydream album is the title song. It’s about how he got into music and how he’s progressed through his career making music in the year 2020.
I think that ‘99 Daydream is an awesome late night drive song because it’s slow paced with a smooth beat that relaxes the mind and body.
57. Masterpiece by DaBaby
Listening to Masterpiece is a two and a half minute whirlwind. DaBaby just punches you in the face with fast lyrics and an uptempo beat. Masterpiece is a great locker room song and is a good song to play with your buddies in the car.
56. Pursuit of Happiness (Nightmare) by Kid Cudi, MGMT, and Ratatat
What more can I say about such a great song. You can play Pursuit of Happiness to revive a party, on a late night drive, or even to zone out before a game. I’m flabbergasted and gobsmacked that this track didn’t reach the top twenty.
55. Sometimes by Miami Horror
Shoutout to the boy Hugh Wells for putting me onto Miami Horror. They’re the ultimate summer vibe out group and Sometimes is my favorite song by them.
“Sometimes, when all that's lost remains, Drink from the fountain of youth and never age again”. Song is an absolute banger that hits in the car, at the beach, in the locker room, or any where you are.
54. All You Need Is You by Spose, Cam Groves, and J Spin
All You Need Is You incorporates three of my favorite artists, Spose, Cam Groves, and J Spin. The trio actually performed this at PDANK XMAS 7 and it was awesome to see these guys perform a song about trying to make on the stage of the Aura.
The message of the song is great because in the end, all you have and all you need is yourself.
53. Runaway (U & I) by Galantis
“I WANNA RUNAWAY!” Runaway (U & I) was my preworkout song when I was getting out of work at Big Y earlier this year because after work I was wet and tired from cleaning up the butcher shop.
I needed a boost and Galantis gave that needed boost. Sometimes I even would throw it on at the start of my workout when I would jump rope because of how upbeat and fast paced the song gets.
52. Lisztomania by Phoenix
I love this song. I found Lisztomania through the song 1901 by Phoenix because it was in one of the FIFA video games that I had for my Wii. It’s a long way to get there, but I love Lisztomania.
It’s honestly just a happy song. It makes me feel good, like the sun is shining and I’ve got a day full of things I want to do. Just a fun listen.
51. Motherfuckers (Bring You Down) by Spose
The message in All You Need Is You is that the only person you can and need to rely on is yourself. Well, in Motherfuckers, it’s about reading the social media feedback about what you’re doing and sometimes, it’s not the best.
But, when you are catching online shrapnel, you just need to remember to not let these Motherfuckers bring you down. Keep your head up.
