Richard Sherman Signs With The Buccaneers.
Former 49ers and Seahawks corner inks a one year deal with the defending Super Bowl Champs.
What a world. After I watched a video of Richard Sherman trying to break down a door and fight his ex-in-laws a few months ago, I was sure that he would never play again. Once again, I was wrong.
The thirty three year old, All Pro cornerback just signed with the defending Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers.
In Shermans new podcast, The Richard Sherman Podcast, he announced that he would be signing a one year deal with Tampa Bay.
Apparently Tom Brady reached out on his own to Sherman about joining the Buccaneers and this is not the first time Brady has done something like this.
Brady brought Antonio Brown to New England after he floated from the Steelers to the Raiders. Brown was dropped a week later due to sexual assault allegations against him. But when Brady went south to Tampa, he made it a point to bring Brown with him and he did.
Tampa Bays Twitter account made it official in a tweet sent out a few hours ago.
The Stanford grad was even at practice today and isn’t wearing his usual number twenty five. Apparently he’ll be rocking a single digit, number five.
The Buccaneers lost corner Sean Murphy-Bunting in the season opener to a broken arm, so defensive back has been a dismal position.
In Shermans last three seasons with the 49ers, he recorded four interceptions, sixteen pass breakups, and tallied one sack.
Extremely curious to see how the Sherman experiment works out for the Buccaneers. AB seemed to workout, but Shady McCoy didn’t. We just have to wait and see.
