Spose Saturday; Cambridge Show In October
I will be seeing the King of Maine live this October.
This week is going to be a little bit different than our typical Spose Saturday as I purchased my tickets for October 21st show in Cambridge yesterday. He’ll be playing the Sonia with his band the Humans and the Palmer Squares.
The first and only time I have seen Spose perform live was at the Chris Webby Black Friday show in 2019 and it was unreal. He rocked and then soon after that, Covid-19 struck and live shows were no more.
Over Covid-19 and the lockdown, Spose did an online World Tour where he played songs on Twitch for around an hour and would take questions from fans after. He made some grim days during lockdown a whole lot better than they should have been.
Spose and the Humans are joining Watsky on the Replacement Tour on September 17th in New York at Gramercy, his first live performance since the pandemic. Following that, he’ll be playing in Bangor at the Bangor Arts Exchange with the Humans and Bensbeendead on September 25th. If I didn’t have a game that day, I would shoot up to Bangor to be at that show.
Joining Spose in Cambridge, is his band the Humans who I am fired up to see live. They’ve worked with Spose on a plethora of songs including his album Humans which was written and recorded in less than twenty four hours.
Along with the Humans, the hip hop duo from Chicago, the Palmer Squares will be performing. They’ve been performing on their own for a while since the lockdown ended and have an upcoming show in Newark, Ohio on August 13th.
Following their show on August 13th, their next performance will be with Spose. I just began listening to the Palmer Squares a few weeks ago so seeing that they’ll be at the Cambridge show is super exciting.
I am so fired up to not only see Spose, the Humans, and the Palmer Squares but I’m pumped to just see live music again. We’re coming back ladies and gents!
