Friday started as a good day as I felt confident leaving chemistry after taking my first exam. I grabbed breakfast and went back to my room to sleep off a long night of studying before the rest of my classes and when I woke up, my day got even better. I checked Twitter and saw that my favorite artist of all time, the King of Maine, Spizzy Spose was back on tour and tickets were on sale.
What made the announcement of the “Spose Is Alive” tour even better was who he was touring with. Two more artists that I absolutely love, Cam Groves and Jarv would be joining Spose on his trek across the United States.
Some of my all time favorite Spose songs have features from the two artists joining him. Inject Metal Band, John Madden, and Till We Die STRAIGHT INTO MY VEINS.
Cam posted a graphic of what shows he’ll be performing at, sixteen in total. He’ll kick the tour off with Spose in Colorado, do The Audacity show in Portland, and be on the road from 7/6 in Brooklyn to 7/18 in Austin, Texas. Groves caps the tour off at the 8/19 show in Hampton, New Hampshire, the one that ends the “Spose Is Alive” tour.
When I viewed the announcement, I immediately hopped on his website and bought my two day pass for his shows on 6/10 and 6/11 in Portland at Sun Tiki Studios. The coolest part about the 6/10 show is that Spose will be playing the entirety of his album “The Audacity” that released in 2012. I’ll get to hear songs from that album that I absolutely LOVE that I’ve never heard live like Swagless and Smiley Face.
What’s also great too, is that Crucify Aidan will be performing at the 6/11 show as well. I can barely contain my excitement.
I’ve got my tickets for those two shows, now it’s time to plan out if I can get to other shows when he’s on the road. This will all depend on where I’m interning this summer, but I’m targeting the Philadelphia show on 7/31, the 7/6 show in Brooklyn, and the tours final show on 8/19 in New Hampshire. I want all the Spose I can get in 2022.
