Steve Robinson Is Leaving the Kirk Minihane Show
Producer Steve Robinson drops a bombshell announcement that he would be leaving the Kirk Minihane Show.
Well, I am sad. Today, producer Steven Earl Robinson announced that he would be leaving the Kirk Minihane Show once The Case Season One concludes. Steve has been the executive producer of the Kirk Minihane show since day one when the show launched and it is super upsetting to see him leave.
Steve said that the reason for him leaving is partly due to stress from The Case. He said that he feels mentally drained. He also attributes his departure to his hatred towards city life and the death of a close friend.
When discussing his departure with Kirk and Blind Mike, he said “It wasn’t just a decision to quit KMS, it was a decision to change up my life in a spectacular way.”
When he announced that he would be leaving KMS, he did say he would be willing to continue to help with The Case Season Two but, that maybe difficult with Steves new living situation.
He said that his lease in Jamaica Plain was up in June and his wife had already quit her job. They invested in a sprinter van, camper that will be equipped for Steve, his wife, and his dog Ziggy to travel North America.
Maybe one day he’ll call into the show while he walks Ziggy in Wyoming or possibly as he cook his goat vindaloo in Arizona.
As a diehard minifan, I am going to miss Steve because he has accounted for some of the greatest moments in show history.
Steve went toe to toe with Benjamin Allbright, lied about competing in a hot dog contest, was berated for two hours by callers when he forgot to pull audio from Kirks periscope, and was instrumental in every live event.
Now, while the majority of the fans will be upset, Kirk will turn his sights to finding a new producer. Could it be Alan Dershowitz’s archenemy Dave Cullinane, rest stop connoisseur Matthew Carano, or someone that is outside of the KMS universe?
S.E, the miniverse will miss you.
