The Legend of Quinn Meinerz

How a division three offensive lineman took the Senior Bowl by storm.

We maybe witnessing the next Ali Marpet; a mauler in the trenches that is representing every division three athlete who’s diet consists of chicken fingers and Busch Light. Meinerz had a phenomenal week at the Senior Bowl and proved why he needs to be picked in the top three rounds.

Meinerz, was not able to play his senior season, like many division three teams, including myself because, of Covid-19. This meant that Quinn had a lot more to prove coming into the Senior Bowl as the only division three player.

He began making waves when he was interviewed on NFL Network wearing his jersey as a half shirt. "I don't have the great abs, but I'm working on it," Meinerz joked about. While he may not have a DK Metcalf body type, if you go back to his Instagram, you can see all 320 pounds of him dunk a basketball.

The rest of the week, he absolutely dominated 1v1’s. He went viral on a clip when he pancaked Pittsburgh defensive lineman, Patrick Jones II who is a projected 2nd round selection. Outside of 1v1’s, he dominated in the Senior Bowl paving running lanes for his backs and absolutely burying linebackers like it was nobodies business.

The legend of Quinn Meinerz will carry into the draft and I am so excited to see where this absolute unit will be playing in the fall.
