The Wolverines Wallop The Hawkeyes
Number three Michigan absolutely dominated number nine Iowa on the hardwood.
Tonight was a battle of the bigs in Ann Arbor and Michigan freshman center, Hunter Dickinson got the last laugh. Michigan came out on top tonight with 79-57 shellacking of the Hawkeyes.
Michigan had three guys go for over ten tonight as Hunter Dickinson went for 14 points and 8 boards, guard Franz Wagner had 21 points and 4 assists, and forward Isaiah Livers had 16 points and 6 rebounds. This win only bolsters the Wolverines resume come tournament time and should secure them a one seed.
This win puts the Wolverines at 17-1 and is their second huge win in two games. On Sunday they beat number four Ohio State and tonight blew out the number nine team in the country.
On the Iowa side of the court, their four game win streak came to an end tonight. Senior center and a favorite for National Player of the Year, Luka Garza, had 16 points and 4 rebounds but, that wasn’t nearly enough to over power Michigan.
We’re getting closer and closer to tournament time which is my third favorite time of the year behind the start of college football and the NFL offseason. Iowa is a team that could be a dark horse to win the title and the Wolverines will be heavy favorites so, be on the look out for these two elite BIG 10 squads.
