Their Transformation: Austin Radkovich
This blog will begin a new series of blogs that for now I will call “Their Transformations” highlighting and discussing different people and the fitness transformations. I hope to make this series post at least once a week, but we will so how this goes.
Austin Radkovich used to be that one tall skinny dude and has now forever changed his appearance. Austin has always been involved with playing basketball and football all his life and even dove into lacrosse during high school. But looking at pictures he was not the biggest back then and he knew it, and that is when change happened. After graduating high school, he began to fall in love with the process of going to the gym, eating more, and just the whole fitness lifestyle. Now it can seem biased on my end because he is one of my best friends, but the work put in is something infectious.
I first my Austin last year at the start of the COVID lockdown at Enfield High working out with my other boy Jake Timme and had some small talk with them. Then a couple weeks later I saw them again except this time it was at Fermi High (Enfield Annex) and that is when we talked more about fitness and even worked out core with them too and invited me to workout with them the next day. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The workouts Austin created, are more geared towards Athletic/cross training and by the end of my first day going under his workouts, I almost passed out. Austin knows how to physically drain someone but then keep pushing to the next level, people say they get a runners high but this was a training high, whenever I would see him tired/beat down from the workout he was able to dig deep and keep pushing for another 20 minutes or more.
Austin has tried many different types of training whether it be the athletic training to long distance running, his knowledge on all thing’s fitness is very big and the passion is even bigger. Austin will be attending Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island starting the fall of 2021 where his possibilities are endless with what he can do. Keep an eye out on Austin, he is just getting started.
