Two squads in the AFC West that had holes along the offensive line addressed those needs. The Chargers went out and signed All Pro center Corey Linsley to a 5 year, 62.5 million dollar deal.
Justin Herbert has to be pumping his fist, knowing that he has some protection. He’ll be a whole lot happier if they go after an offensive lineman in the draft as while. Hopefully a tackle like Christian Darrisaw or Sam Cosmi.
For Thuney, he found a home with the Kansas City Chiefs. The second best offensive lineman to hit the market this season signed a 5 year, 80 million dollar deal. How, I have now clue. I didn’t even think that Chiefs had cap space, let alone enough to sign a top tier guard to an 80 million dollar contract.
Much like Herbert, Mahomes is fired up to land some protection. They released former number one pick Eric Fisher and former All Pro Mitchell Schwartz this past week. Huge signing for Kansas City.
It’s super disappointing that my Vikings couldn’t sign Thuney. He is a great player and will be extremely effective in the Chiefs offense.
Now that these two maulers are off the board, the top remaining linemen are Trent Williams, Russell Okung, and David Andrews.
