I really thought that the Vikings had the next great young cornerback duo in Cam Dantzler and Jeff Gladney, but with Gladney being indicted on felony domestic violence charges stemming from April, he will no longer be a Viking.
The Vikings selected Gladney thirty first overall in the 2020 NFL Draft out of TCU after being named First Team Big 12 for the Horned Frogs.
In camp, Gladney was initially the fourth corner on the roster behind Dantzler, Holton Hill, and Mike Hughes. He eventually worked his way into the starting lineup where he recorded eighty one tackles, three passes defended, and one forced fumble.
On April 5th of this year, Gladney turned himself into authorities on a felony family violence assault charge in Dallas, Texas. He was accused of striking his girlfriend during a heated dispute.
This whole offseason, it has hung in the air with if Gladney would be playing or not and today we got our answer with him being indicted. Thank God the Vikings grabbed Patrick Peterson this offseason.
