Vince Vaughn Launches Podcast Company, Audiorama, With Former NFL All Pros Greg Olsen and Ryan Kalil; Hires Barstool Sports Mikey Fowler As VP And General Manager
MTV Movie Award winning actor is coupling with former NFL stars to conquer the podcasting front.
Big news today. The star of Wedding Crashers and Dodgeball, Vince Vaughn is collaborating with former NFL All Pro players and Panther teammates, Ryan Kalil and Greg Olsen to launch their own podcasting company, Audiorama.
Olsens name always circulated around the Barstool Sports world following his retirement as he was a frequent guest on Pardon My Take and the Dave Portnoy Show. He ended up working for Fox as a color analyst and studio contributor following his retirement.
I honestly thought that Olsen would be hired as a personality or content creator for Barstool, but he is actually bringing a Barstool character to Audiorama with him.
Audiorama hired Barstools Director of Audio, Mikey Fowler to be the companies Vice President and General Manager. I’m a big listener of the Kirk Minihane Show on Barstool, and from the beginning, Fowler was an ally of the show and listened to every thing. He even produced the show for Kirk when he went to Barstool HQ in New York. Stinks seeing him leave, but it’s an unreal opportunity for Fowler.
Fowler was quoted saying “Vince, Greg, Ryan, and I are dedicated to making Audiorama a podcast production company focused on building and developing each and every podcast we launch for the long haul rather than short term.” He added that ““Audiorama is positioned to be a frontrunner in podcasting.”
The companies first podcast premieres this Wednesday on March 9th hosted by Greg Olsen. The show is titled Youth Inc. where Olsen will cover youth sports in America and how it’s rapidly evolving. Guests for the show have already been announced. This list includes Olsens former teammate in Seattle Russell Wilson, Hall of Fame pass catcher Jerry Rice, All Pro safety Eric Weddle, and Cooper Manning who is the brother of Peyton and Eli and father of Arch.
Audiorama also brought on Peter Morris who was the CEO at PodcastOne, the home of Adam Carolla, and Peter Raskin who founded Rubicon Talent.
There’s a new shark in the podcast talent pool to try and compete with Barstool and The Ringer. I’m excited to see how Audiorama works out with Fowler running it and big names like Ryan Kalil, Greg Olsen, and Vince Vaughn involved.
