Yesterday, former Penn State National Champion Vincenzo Joseph was hired to the Stanford wrestling staff as an assistant coach. He was Stanfords second assistant hire as they also brought in Enock Francois.
Cenzo becomes the second former Nittany Lion to land an assistant coaching gig this offseason. His former teammate Mark Hall is back in State College as a volunteer assistant for Penn State.
Joseph wrestled from 2016 to 2020 before his time with the program was cut when Covid-19 struck. Cenzo was a two time National Champion and a three time finalist. He took home the titles in 2017 and 2018 and was a runner up in 2019. The three time All American had an 89-9 career record.
This pick up is awesome for the Stanford program, my one question is will Cenzo still be able to be a part of the Baschamania podcast that he cohosts? I hope so because heโs an awesome personality.
