For part three of Walking With A Record, I opted to listen to Action Bronson’s latest studio album, Cocodrillo Turbo. I wrote about it in depth when I went over my favorite music projects of 2022, but haven’t really revisited it since. I’m glad I did for this series because I undersold the importance of the unique production value that this album has. Bronson and his team utilize jazzier beats and animal sound effects to throw a whole new flare at the listener and to this day, it still stands as his most quirky album. And for that, I love it.
The ten track album charted in the top 100 of the Official Download chart once, and where I think it suffered was that this was an album people didn’t entirely know how to feel about. The usage of sound effects coupled with Bronson’s typical lyrics about sports and entertainment is cool and should be appreciated more.
“My performance like Aaron Donald at the combine (uh), Love and hate, there's a fine line (uh), Should I let it go (no), or turn him to a wanton?”

Should You Walk To It?
I’d say yes. It’s a different style of rap where a large portion of the album consists of sound effects and its production, but that aids it in being a good album to workout to because of its unique beats. Action Bronson changes it up so much from song to song that you’re always kept on your toes. Highly recommend walking or jogging to this album.
