Want To Feel Old? Brian Urlachers Son, Kennedy Urlacher Just Committed To Notre Dame
Time to feel old.
One of the more jarring trends of recruitment season the past few years is seeing former NFL stars kids committing to play college football. We’ve seen it with Chad Pennington and Frank Gore in the past few years, and the 2023-2024 cycle of recruiting was no different. Today we saw Bears legend Brian Urlacher (who looks weird with hair), watch his son commit to play football for Marcus Freeman in South Bend, Indiana.
Kennedy Urlacher is a three star safety from Arizona, who held offers from TCU, Illinois, Arizona and Penn State, stands at 5’11 and 190 pounds. His national rank according to 247 Sports was 627, and he was the number 14 recruit for the state of Arizona. Urlacher joins an already stacked 2024 recruiting class for the Irish which is currently ranked ninth in the nation.
Along with Kennedy Urlacher committing to play at Notre Dame, another Bears legend has a son getting ready to play college football. The greatest returner of all time, Devin Hester, celebrated his son Devin Hester Jr. committing to Furman University to play wide receiver. I don’t know why, but the idea of Devin Hester Jr. playing college football makes me feel way older than Kennedy Urlacher. Just absolutely nuts.
