Last week, I wrote that I had “not one, not two, not three, but FOUR winning picks for you folks and loyal readers.” Well, I went 1-3 this weekend so I wrote an apology to my loyal readers.
“I made a post last week that promised to have winning gambling picks for this weekend in college football and I lost three of my four games. I am deeply ashamed of this. I pride myself and think of myself as a man that gives winning picks…as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos that will be a home run and so that’ll make it a 4-0 ball game.”
Let’s get into it.
My only pick that hit, hit by a god damn country mile. I had the over of 65.5 points in the Ole Miss vs Arkansas game and the Rebels edged out the Razorbacks 52-51 in a classic, SEC shootout.
That was my one, my one and only win from the weekend.
My lock of the week of UConn -3.5 at UMass lost. I even predicted that the Huskies would win the game and they couldn’t even do that. They lost in the CUM bowl 27-13. Thanks a lot UConn.
The next game I picked, one that I almost made a lock was Penn State +1.5 at Iowa. And I mean this one was very close.
Sean Clifford went down before the second half which led to the Hawkeyes pulling off the home win. What hurts is that if Clifford stayed in the game, the Nittany Lions wouldn’t have lost 23-20 on the road.
And the last game that fucked me was Wake Forest -6.5 at Syracuse. I thought that the Demon Deacons were not only going to win this game, but blow out the Orange. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Syracuse took Sam Hartman and Wake Forest to overtime, only to lose 40-37 to the Demon Deacons. Just a brutal scene this weekend.
Only one way I can go from here and that is up. I’ll be better next week and erase my current record of 9-8.
