WWE Superfan And Mass Maritime Lacrosse Player Leo Allgaier Named LEC Defensive Player Of The Week
Mass Maritime defenseman named LEC Defensive Player of the Week.
While the Mass Maritime lacrosse team hasn’t been off to the hottest start, Leo Allgaier has been a bright spot. The junior defender and Duxbury, MA native has started all six games for the Buccaneers scooping up 18 ground balls and forcing 13 turnovers. Allgaier hasn’t netted any goals yet, but has put 2 shots on goal through the season.
Due to Allgaiers menacing defensive presence this season, especially this past week, the junior captain was named Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Allgaier, a WWE superfan and Guns ‘N Roses fanboy, is a dual sport athlete at the Academy. In the fall of 2021 he started all ten games at wide receiver where he caught 15 passes for 105 yards with a long of 28 yards against Westfield State.
The season is still young and salvageable as the Buccaneers have nine games left on the schedule. With players like Leo Allgaier, Mitchell Maida, Spencer Jones, and Owen Donohue running the show, they can pickup big wins in late March and April.
